Using the Language Laboratory Control Console


The Sony LLC-5510 is a language laboratory control console that controls the 12 student recorders. The control console is powered ON at the beginning of the day and powered OFF at the end of the day.

Power ON the Control Console

  1. Turn the key clockwise to the CONSOLE/STUDENTS position.
  2. Wait for all components to appear on the screen.
  3. Press PWC on the screen to connect power to the student recorders.
  4. Wait for the seating map to appear.
  5. Press MAKE on the screen.
  6. Press LIBRARY on the screen.
  7. Press ALL on the screen.
  8. Press the VIDEO MONITOR button on the control console.

Adjust the Volume of Student Recorders

  1. Locate the PHONES/SP section of the control console.
  2. Press the MIN button to decrease the volume.
  3. Press the MAX button to increase the volume.

Power OFF the Control Console

  1. Turn the key counter-clockwise to the OFF position.
