| My personal interest in religion led me to seek
out the religious spaces in Oizumi.
The Christian churches were of particular interest to me. In
the churches, I found a separate group of people who do not spend
their leisure time at the Brazilian
Plaza or at bars.
In fact, they never venture into those places at all. If we,
as a research team, had limited our research only to those more
popular places, we would never have learned about the lives of
those who set themselves apart from those places. This space
was created for this separate group of people. |

I present the data I collected at three different churches in
Oizumi, and I touch briefly upon some of the other religions. |
