The Major in Religious Studies

The major consists of at least nine semester courses in religious studies, including the following:

1. Course 101.
2. Course 401, normally taken in the junior year.
3. One Advanced Study Seminar (Courses 493, 494) or Course 402.

The details of the major program must be prepared in consultation with the major adviser. One of the elective courses for the major may be chosen from another department with the approval of the major adviser.

The Minor in Religious StudiesGeorgia O'Keeffe: "Black Cross, New Mexico."

The minor consists of at least five semester courses in religious studies, including Course 101 and at least one course at the 400 level.

The Minor in Judaism and Culture

The minor consists of at least five semester courses in the life, religion and culture of the Jews, including Courses 101 and 202 and at least one advanced seminar. Students must submit a written petition describing their intended course of study.

The Minor in the History of Christian Thought

The minor consists of Course 101 and at least four of the following, preferably in this order: Courses 113, 114, 203, 224, and 325.
