of the League of Women Voters, serving on the national board of the league
in 1926 and 1927.
You would be working in the Office of the League of Women Voters of the
United States in Washington, DC for six weeks during the summer.
A Morrisson Internship offers:
- $4000 stipend and transportation are provided
- Opportunities for research in areas such as environmental legislation,
education projects, international affairs and governmental issues.
- Opportunities for observation and discussion of governmental matters
on "The Hill" as they pertain to the League of Women Voters.
"This was an amazing opportunity to learn about work that people
are engaged in all over the world. The internship allowed me to have a
unique engagement with the Washington political scene. I attended speeches
at the Capitol and the White House and lobbied members of congress to
support our programs. This was a great opportunity for learning and networking."
