Departmental Awards
The Eva Butler Award
Given to the graduating senior anthropology major with the highest GPA
in the major. The late Eva Butler was a well known local anthropologist/historian/archaeologist
who studied Connecticut Native Americans and colonial history.
The B. June Macklin Award
Given to a graduating senior major for high academic achievement and extra-curricular
activity. June Macklin was a founding member of the Anthropology Department,
and taught at the College for 40 years. She retired in 1997.
The Claire Garber Goodman '54 Award
Given to a graduating senior major for high academic achievement and dedication
to anthropology.
